Black Friday is November 27, 2026 and Cyber Monday is November 30. Gunpla discounts are usually smaller than on electronics, but it's still a good time to stock up, especially on kits that are in stock now and may sell out by Christmas.

We don't post live prices (they change by the hour). Instead, here's how to tell a real deal from a fake one, plus the kits worth checking in every grade.

Real deal or not? Quick checks

CheckWhat to look for
Typical priceCompare with the usual US price range for the grade: EG $10–$20, HG $15–$40, RG $30–$60, MG $45–$100
Who sells itOn Amazon, check whether it's sold by Amazon or a third-party seller; marketplace prices can be far above list
Price historyA 'was' price that was never real is common. A price-history tool shows what the kit actually sold for
Stock and restocksPopular kits get restocked; don't overpay for a regular kit that will come back
Limited editionsPremium Bandai and Gundam Base kits rarely restock, so a fair price can be worth taking

Price ranges are typical US street prices and vary by kit.

What to buy on Black Friday

The best Black Friday buys are popular, regular-release kits you'd buy anyway: modern HGs, the newer RGs and big Master Grades. A small discount on a $70 MG saves more than a big percentage off a $15 HG.

It's also a good moment to grab tools and supplies (nippers, panel line markers, top coat), which go with every kit.

Best for: Builders stocking up for winter projects and holiday gift shoppers.

What to be careful with

Watch out for scalper prices on recent or limited kits, and for 'deals' on very old kits that are simply discontinued stock. Check the release year on our lists before you buy.

If a kit is on our release tracker for the coming months, it may be worth waiting for the new version instead.

Best for: Anyone buying limited or older kits.

Our Black Friday game plan

  1. Make a short wish list now, using our grade lists.
  2. Check typical prices so you know a real deal when you see one.
  3. Buy regular kits when the price is right; don't panic-buy limited ones at scalper prices.
  4. Order gifts before Cyber Monday to beat holiday shipping delays.

Tools: Black Friday is a good time to add a pair of hobby nippers, a panel line marker and a top coat to your cart.
